Mammoth + Fossil Falls

What a lucky girl I am... Last weekend my bf whisked me off to Mammoth as a birthday surprise! It was wonderful. Clean mountain air, a fresh blanket of snow, and (best of all) hardly a soul in sight! It's been 13 years since I last skied so I was pretty scared at first, but that soon disappeared and I shhhooped my way (albeit rather slowly) down some wonderful (and gentle) runs for 2 days. We broke up the 5 hour drive back to LA by stopping off at Fossil Falls. The falls are made up of incredible rock structures created by lava flows eroded by glaciers. Beauts!
